We have the Olympian grill that we purchased from CW last year, but it's too big to carry along with all the other stuff we take in our PW Excel. As a result it stayed home on our recent trip to the Southwest. So just to try something different, I bought a cheap little charcoal grill at the RV campground store where we were staying along with a small bag of easy light charcoal. Had a couple great steaks, cleanup isn't much of a problem, just dump the charcoal ash in the firepit and wash out the pan, remove the legs and toss it in a plastic bag. Overall, the space taken up by the small grill and a bag or two of charcoal is less than the Olympian grill and a couple propane bottles. Will toss it when it gets too cruddy or rusts out. Will keep my eye out this fall for some disposable grills when they go on sale. We couldn't find any this spring, heard that Lowe's may carry them.

We use a Marine Kettle by Magma from West Marine (westmarine.com). We originally used it on our sailboat and now have moved it to our A then B. It has a land stand as well as a mount for a sailboat rail or ladder upright that we used on the A all the time - no ladder on the B so we'll use the land stand. There are a couple of sizes of grills - we have both the smaller charcoal one and the smaller propane one. It's all stainless and about the size of a small beach ball and fits well in our PW Excel outside storage.

We use the same as Davydd, and have been happy with it - buttttt - I'd sure like to find a unit that would operate on low pressure LP, yet be relatively affordable.
I have a tap on my LTV that allows me to use a standard propane bottle if I need more propane to run the generator or whatever. It would be nice to use the same tap (on the low pressure side of the regulator) to run a stove or grill.

1donald wrote: Funny you should ask! DW & I purchased a stainless steel portable grill from Lowe's - Brand name is "Perfect Flame". Today we were attempting to find a area that it would fit. Did not fit in our large side drawer on Drivers Side - By the way, we have a 2007 RT 210 Popular. We went to Target today and bought a "Under the bed storage bag" for blankets. We will use it for the grill. Plastic Bag with zipper and it will fit under our electric sofa. DW wanted to have it enclosed so as not to have the odors wafting thru the air. We have not tested it as yet as to the clean up and storage, but it seems like it will work at this point.
Will be interested in what others have to say on this subject.

I've got one of these also and it fits nicely under the bed in my 2007 RT RS. It's a great little grill.

I'm also looking and looking for something small to fit the B. We had an inexpensive small propane grill for three seasons, then the regulator went. We tossed the whole thing thinking we could replace it. Well, it is not that easy and I sure wish we had the grill back. Thanks for the suggestions for new grills. This forum is terrific.

Hey Chris,
Surprised you don’t have sidelights on your rig. Bumper guides are a good substitute when you don’t have a ladder. Thanks for the post on the Magma grill. Works great and even fits in my new trunk. This set-up works well when boondocking and no table’s are available.
I figured since the lobster’s were free, I got the grill for half price. (Hint: get your kids to take scuba diving lessons!)

We use a Coleman grill. Gas not charcol but most places we stay have fire rings and I use the fire for grilling normally. This grill is ok but it cooks fast.

This has been a task for me to find a grill that:
1. Fits under my lounge area rear lounge sofa
2. Easy clean up, etc.
3. Perfect for two people
4. Has stove burner and grille sides (keeps my DW happy as well as me...)
I finally found it. I finally bought the Coleman Grill/Stove 2-Burner Gas Grill with self ignition Model #9922-750 at Target on sale. $69 I believe.

(only 6" high, 15" deep and 25" wide approx.) You can get the specific measurements online.
And... I found a plastic storage tub/bin that the grille fits in like a glove so it is airtight to prevent odors that might lure pests and rodents. The added benefit is that this setup actually keeps the storage area under the rear lounge organized and clean. I am quite pleased with it.
