I have two members of my family serving. A cousin who is in the USAF currently in the Green Zone over seeing NATO supply flights. Forth time over.

A nephew USMC at least four tours, at present he is in States.
He is on east coast teaching his specialties to other FINE MEN AND WOMEN. He hunts and destroies IEDs with a robot.

GOD BLESS OUR MEN AND WOMEN

some picture of nephew SGT. in USMC

Hear is his robot (just in front of tree)

His men keeping watch as he does his job.

I only wish that those who support our Troops will take a moment to say a pray for this family on Sunday as they lay their son to rest and deal with the stress that is being caused by this protest group.

Opening our hearts and sharing is exactly what we are trying to do on this thread.

My prayers, pride and respect are with you all on Sunday.

Out of a family of six, three of us served honorably in the United States Military.

If you happen to look in...is your son calling in strikes from the air? My son so new to it all (Army Infantry) so I ask questions when I can. He goes off and on about maybe staying in and pursuing some areas of interest.

More likely in I guess current direction he will be like Tip's son.

Our son returned home from Iraq 2 years ago this October. He is of course a different person then when he left, he is a gunner on a hummer

Our son in Korea right now, guarding border. Says he does more infantry training than anything which at 19 and just in...is a good thing. Told him I see where his recent arrival in SKorea has NKorea (recent nuclear take-down) running scared. He didn't get it

Kate and Ed, Thank you so much for asking about my son! Yes, he arrived safely at Navy recruit training in Great lakes, Ill. We got the 10 second "I'm here safe" phone call. We had a big "Anchors Aweigh" party for him on Labor Day.

Great! My son's worse nightmare was that Army would be like basic He learned a lot about himself...appreciates being in Korea at war time and seems to be ready as you can be to be fighting somewhere someday. He chose Infantry and is still glad he did. He emails quite a bit which surprised Mom...not because he could but because he is

Keep in touch,
