I'm considering overnighting at various casinos during my travels this summer. what experiences have you had? any advice other than to keep donations at the slots to a minimum?

Don't know the exact name but there is a guide/directory that lists casinos and whether or not they allow you to overnight.

I have that guide bookmarked. It's called CasinoCamper.com

Never seen one that wasn't a parking lot. Not my idea of "fun camping" and besides free is WAY to expensive when you're talking about casinos

We love them. They generally are free or very low cost. We frequent one in Kansas that is totally free with full hookups. Sure it is not an RV Park, but it is close and gives us the opportunity to get away. We treat our gambling the same as we would if going by car. We know before hand how much we are going to spend (lose) on recreation and stick to that amount. There is another one in Iowa that cost $20 and they give you $10 worth of slot tokens. So we have a very nice campground with grass and trees and it costs $10 per night.

We have spent many nights at casinos during our travels. We feel very safe with the other rvs plus security. Some even have rv dumps, good food and even entertainment

Casinocamper is very good. It's a reader participation site and all the reviews are by people who have actually stayed overnight in the parking lots.

There are a few casinos that do not allow overnight parking so before you go check this site too. Each casino has a notation about overnight RV parking.http://www.americancasinoguide.com/casino_directory.shtml

We use them when we can--great place to stop--usually large enough that you can park away from the casino entrances and get some privacy. The best thing is that the buffets and entertainment are merely steps away.
We generally find these parking lots quiet. Had a great experience in Mesquite Nevada when the hotel let me use their pay campground site to dump my tanks without a charge. I think most casinos will welcome overnighters.

Last summer we stayed at about 10 casino RV parks, and this Spring we stayed at severalmore.

Many of them allow you to play, and reduce your fee. Some do not, but none are too expensive (we are currently at Pechanga in Temecula, CA and its $38, but it can be rduced by gambling).

Other really nice ones: Hollywood @ Bay St Louis,MS: Diamond Jacks @ Bossier City, LA: Red Shoes Resort @ Kinder, LA: Hollywood @ Tunica, MS: Eagle View @Fort McDowell, AZ: Paragon @ Marksville, LA: a bargain, but not an RV Park is Lucky Star@ Concho, OK-its full 50 amp hook -ups/water/sewer in the parking lot for free! a similar situation ($5) at Isle of Capri@ Lake Charles, LA: 7 Feathers @ Canyonville, OR: Whitehorse Resort @ Pendleton, OR....these are some of our favorites.

Safe Trip.

Have stayed at Casinos in about 14 States, either dry camping or in their RV Park. I look for them when I travel. No bad experiences. If you play enough, you can usually get comped in the RV Park.
