The median would probably be more meaningful.

Bud, I didn't save the data I originally collected and I'm not quite that eager to go back and do it all again.

The current average is 55.5. Does this mean I'm above average?

slightly off topic, but Jim you have NEVER been average. At the ages of Barb and I, it makes me at 75 just plain old

Wife is 67, I am 68. We have been traveling in a "conversion van" camper since 1976, when I "home built" our first one in a long wheelbase Ford Van. Quite literally wore it completely out, and bought our '92 RoadTrek 190 in 1995, from an older couple who were giving up traveling, due to health problems. We LOVE the "Class B" traveling life style, and as long as I can keep getting the parts to fix our '92 RT, will keep it up.
We "full time" it for a couple months a year, chasing around all over the US and Canada, working as volunteers with Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps, on the Drum Corps International "Summer Music Games" tour. Traveling on tour with 150 teenagers, in 4 busses, will either kill you, or make you strong...we haven't decided yet which is happening to us. We've been traveling with Carolina Crown since '91.

Haven't seen a DCI Drum & Bugle Corps show? You have missed one of life's great musical pleasures!!!

We have combined age of 157. Started with a tent 21 years ago and have used motorized and towed a variety of trailers. Our 2001 PleasureWay enables us to more easily negotiate traffic than when towing 7000 lb. of trailer.

46 & 47

Started with a minivan for a two week post-college/pre-work trip. Later camped out of a Toyota 4wd pickup with a camper shell. Then a couple 4Runners (midsize SUVs). After camping with 2 adults and 2 dogs in a 4Runner - decided a van was a smarter idea. We've had the van since 2003. With 4 dogs it can be crowded - but I haven't had to sleep outside yet - so it's ok.
