We take 65 south to the 40 Interstate. Then we usually stop for a night or two at Toad Suck COE in Conway Arkansas. This is right on the river, watch the barges. Take the 40 out to the 55 and take the off ramp for 61 south to Tunica. 61 is a real nice drive once you pass the outskirts of Memphis. If staying at the Grand they are right off 61, their own drive. If staying at Sams Town or Hollywood, turn right on Hwy 304, follow down approx 6 miles. Have fun save me some money there. We will be at Sam's town end of Sept.

Honda Civic Tow
It is not on any map yet, but I-69, off of I-55, is the BEST route into Tunica. It comes into 61 about a mile North of the Grand.
We make that drive in one day (from Branson), but 65 south is a hilly, narrow road with some curves which are unforgiving.
I-69 is great coming from the south, but from I-40? That stretch of interstate is congested. There are hundreds of trucks and construction. In June the trucks had the interstate backed up past Exit 8, which I assume was backed up until you hit I-55S. The easiest route is to use Exit 7(Tunica)or 8(Horn Lake), either exit works to Hwy 61, cuts some mileage off, plus Memphis interstate traffic. Once you hit MS state line, it's pretty smooth sailing with 65 mph speed limit.
