I'm thinking about buying a new 2007 Ameri-Lite RV (24RB), and I would be very grateful for opinion's on their quality, good or bad. Anyone out there know anything about Ameri-Lite RV's?

Also, the selling price of the Ameri-Lite I'm thinking about buying is $11,500. Good?... bad?... so-so?...

We had an Ameri-Lite RV (24RB)a few years ago. I think it was a 2004 model. We were very happy with it. A few things were obviously thinner and not as heavy duty as some other trailers to keep it light weight. The only 2 things I didn't like was not much room when it came to making the bed and the cabinet doors flipped up without the gas supports on them. We bought a bigger truck so we upgraded to a bigger trailer with a slide. The price is exactly what we paid a few years back.

Oh my goodness! I am really scared now after reading all of the reviews of the Gulfstream Ameri-lite. My husband and I just bought (and are set to take delivery of) a new 2007 Ameri-lite 24bh on Saturday. I hope I don't end up with some of the many problems I have been reading about. We are about to be first time TT owners and are so looking forward to hitting the road with our 2 small children. I will be praying for smooth coasting! I wish I had found this forum a couple of weeks ago!

For a $9,000 to $12,000 TT, they are pretty good.
More $$$ than that, and they aren't so good.

We paid about $10,500. We went to see it yesterday and learn how everything works. It was really nice. Pretty basic, but has everything beginners like us need. Everything appeared to be in good shape and working, but I guess time will tell.

You'll get a lot of neg. Gulfstream info mostly because they are a volume manufacturer and have a lot of model choices. We have had a Gulfstream product for 3 seasons now, and while we have had some quality issues, the dealer has taken care of each one as they have come up. At 10K-11k for your Ameri-lite, you get what you pay for, but opt for higher end appl.

I own a 04 Amerilite 21 ft. I mirror my fellow owners, You get what you pay for. My wife and I have been camping for 2 years with out TT with the knowledge that sooner or later we well be trading up like everyone else. Don't worry about the little things like our opinions, go camping and make your own.

Happy Camping

Also, wonder if it's truly 3600 lbs dry.

All I can say is that if you are going to have a learning experience, $11,500 is better than $25,000. The fit and finish won't be the same as a high dollar unit- but it is likely the same as comparing a Hyundai to a Lexus. The Lexus may have better accoutrements, but both vehicles should give you years of yeoman service.

Well, I guess my original query is now moot, as I decided to go ahead and buy the Ameri-Lite. Many thanks to all those who took the time to respond.
