Only 15 days...I have the wood...I have the BBQ...I have the Club House...I have many friends!!!!
Today, I took a short ride to the Covered Wagon Elk & Buffalo Tours...You can hunt! See the Buffalo & Elk
You can visit historic cemeteries if that is what you like in history. You can just view the VISTA of the Ridge Road that splits the Niobrara River and the Missouri River all on the way to and from the Elk Ranch.
I have mentioned the Tar Pits area with the Green Gables Restaurant that is a short drive. There is a Bar and restaurant that is made from baled straw near Spencer, NE. Very unique and then as I mentioned there is the drive to Gross, NE. and then to Ft. Randall of settlement days. On to the Dam and Casino and back through the country ride to Niobrara. We have several local museums if you want to see history of the area. They are very nice ones for the size of the communities.
Communities were settled by German and Bohemian ancestors. So much of the food will be of that background.
If you wanted to hunt pheasants there is a game farm for that and they will furnish everything...even the gun and dogs!
This is in addition to what the Park offers.
Hope you all will enjoy yourselves while in NE NE and SE SD.

You might also want to check out Verdigre, Nebraska which is about 10 country miles South of the Park. They will have the Kolach Days from June 12 through June 15th. NOTE: These are almost as rare as a really good pork tenderloin sandwich.
We plan on being there June 27-29th for the 6th Annual "Bohemian Alps Rally (BAR)" motorcycle get-together. It will be a fund-raiser for the playground fund.

Gary, I found a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich in Logan, OH at the B5 Rally. It wasn't on the menu but the restaurant owner made it up special for me. Now, do any of those restaurants near Niobrara have one?

I am planning on being there, but have not decided if we will ride or trailer. We have become "fair weather" riders and may decide the morning of leaving. We've put on over 150,000 miles on 2 wheels and many were in hail storms, snow, blinding rain etc. We have had enough of that. We now keep the bikes in permanent garage or rolling garage unless we get caught after out for a ride.

I have one question about the CG. Can you hook a hose to the faucets to fill the water tanks? I know each site does not have water.
Thanks,

I just cancelled our reservation. I will be babysitting my new granddaughter while her parents do their 3 weeks annual National Guard training. I'm not sure which site we were in (although it may be site #1) however, it is now one available if anyone else would like to go.
The park will only refund the reservation costs if the site is re-rented.

Yes, you can fill from a hose. There a few faucets around so that should be no problem. There is a dump station also. So everyone should be fine.
Few surprises coming.... what could it bee????
As for the PORK TENDERLOIN...I will ask the local restaurant to make sure they have a SPECIAL Kind to BEE on Hand for all you PT eaters!
When I posted to Gene I was thinking that Tabor Days were 6 amd 7the of June, weekend we are all leaving. But it is a week later. Sorry to be off topic.
