While getting ready to hitch up for a trip, I went to use my Ultra Fab 3502 last week and found it dead. Checked all the usual stuff; battery connection, fuse, etc. Felt like the switch was bad. Seems like it got water in it. Put the manual jack back on (Couldn't use the emergency handle due to the LP tanks in the way), and finished hitching up. Dropped an email to Ultra Fab to see how much a switch was.

We returned 5 days later and found a box on my deck. Had a new switch in it from Ultra Fab. No charge, either! This jack is 2 1/2 years old, so no warranty. Replaced the switch and the jack still wouldn't work, except now it blew the fuse. Thought I had soldered the switch in wrong.

I dropped Ultra Fab another email and asked if I could bring it by for them to look at. (I live about 90 minutes from their factory).
Marv sent an email back that they would be happy to look at it, and to let him know when I would come. I went up there early this morning.
I met Marv and he took the jack and we went back to one of his tech guys. Found out that the motor was froze up, and had shorted out. They were going to repair it, but then Marv went over to a pallet and grabbed a box and handed it to me. It was a freshly reconditioned 3502, and there was no charge! They are a top notch company.

Anymore, it's hard to find GOOD customer service. Marv and his company went out of their way to take care of me, and now they have a customer for life, and I will tell all my friends to use Ultra Fab products too.

A happy camper again,

Bob

It is refreshing to hear of a company that still has some intergity. So much of the time they will go out of their way to refuse to do something. Perhaps there is still some hope left after all. I will certainly consider their product. Thanks for posting this.

Glad they treated you well & replaced your jack. I've read several threads about Ultra Fabs & problems with the intrusion of water into the head. When I went to replace my dead Barker jack, that fact kept me from considering an Ultra Fab.

I have read multiple post about how wonderful their customer service is, and that is the sole reason I recently purchased their 3500. I will put a cover on it for the water, but I figure that if anything ever goes wrong with it, I can count on them to stand by their product!

I just put my 3502 on today. Worked like a champ. I also bought a Ultra-Fab cover for it. I guess we will see if it keeps the water out.

I did forget to mention that he also gave me the Ultra Fab cover for it!! I think all electric tongue jacks need to be covered, as there will be a way for water to find it's way in...... Mine's covered now!
