Did anyone else meet the campground thief? My 2 burner cook stove and tank was stolen off my outside table on Friday night and Mudmaker's crock pot full of potato's was stolen from his outside table Saturday night. Looks like the thief was into cooking. I guess its a good reminder for everyone to keep things tied down if they don't what it to grow legs.

OMG! No way! I can't believe that! How terrible! Did you tell Myrna about it? I sure hope so! How awful! We left our burner and propane tank out, along with a lot of other stuff (our new chairs, etc.), and didn't have any problems. Sheesh . . . I guess I'm going to have to bring a chain and padlock for our burner next time we go camping (in the spring) and put the propane tank away!

So sorry that happened, Buck!

Julie

We might just have to take turns on night watch at next years fall rally.

Thanks Mudmaker for reporting it, Myrna will keep her eye out for camping gear rummage sales in the campground.
Buck

I can't believe that happened. There were people up every night until at least midnight. Myrna knows a lot of people, so hopefully your stuff may resurface.
Joe

That would be great but I have a feeling I will be getting a new stove for a Christmas gift if mine don't return.
Buck

And I think I know where you can get one, neighbor!

Do you happen to sell used camping equipment Ha Ha Sorry you left the door open on that one.

Play now!

You mean we can't even go camping and feel safe? I hope Myrna finds the thief. We've never have had a problem. I'm shocked and appaulled!!! If anyone lost a cover to a nesco/casserole dish get a hold of Butch or Deb they found it left over from the pot luck.
A big Thanks to everyone who made this rally possiable. Had a great time. Spring can't come soon enough. Wendy

Maybe the cover belongs to the crock pot that was stolen huh?

Things may happen in your life that are totally unexpected but with good friends, a campfire and a positive attitude, you can get through anything.

I'm sorry to hear that things were stolen at the Rally. I know that a lot of the seasonal's leave things out all season long, and I haven't heard of things disappearing on them. Hopefully Myrna will get to the bottom of it.

Thanks to all who made the Rally happen. I'm sure it takes a lot of time & effort, and it's appreciated. Thanks to Tom & Rene for the orange creme' mix for the slushy machine.

Julie. I spent a few hours checking over "the book" during the game yesterday. I have quite a large Christmas list going!

We also made it home safe and I'll post some pics when I can but for now my home Internet connection is down for some reason and I'm guessing I'll be on the phone with the provider tonight trying to figure it out if it's not back on line by the time I get home from work tonight

On the thefts, Amy and I spoke with Myrna on our way out just to thank her for hosting the rally and she mentioned that a few thefts were reported from our group and others in the CG from Friday night and Saturday which is a shame. She will keep an eye out for the missing items and stated that this has never happened in her CG before and feels really bad about it.

Thanks Butch & Deb, and all for your support and efforts in making this a great time for all. The fall rally is a great way to end the season saying good bye to many friends is hard to do. We look forward to the spring rally to again say hello

Hmmmm.. I better get back to work.

This is not the first year he has struck, as I lost stuff last year.

Oh is that what I'm supposed to be doing?!?

We made it home just fine yesterday. Saw the last few minutes of the game at Stone Ridge in Wautoma (had to stop for bbq pork) -- Go Pack!

Was still drizzling by us too so we just brought in the food and will probably do the rest tonight. Not sure about winterizing just yet, it's always so hard to face the end of the season.

THANK YOU to everyone for yet another great rally! Butch, Deb, you did a great job organizing and thanks to everyone else who pitched in! Also thanks for keeping James busy - Michelle, did Anthony sleep well last night? Those kids were running non-stop all weekend!

Have a nice winter's nap everyone! See you in spring (or sooner!).

Were things taken late at night while you were asleep? Or while everyone was at the group fire?

And thanks to Randy for BRINGING the slushy machine, the mixes and liquor!

Also thanks to everyone else for making us feel so welcome in your group, despite the fact that we are Bears fans! We had a really great time!

Any and all of you are welcome to join us at the Illinois Rally next spring. You gave us some great ideas - we will probably be stealing some of them!

I used the stove on Friday night at about 7:00 to cook supper and didn't notice till the next day that it was gone, the table looked empty.
