Ok I am seriously looking into this. the wife and I are in our mid 30`s .. all the kids are moved out (yes all 6 of them ) .. and we are really wanting to get away from the daily 9-5 .. and this sounds perfect! ..

where do you park your RV at? .. can you choose where you stay at or does the company tell you where to camp? ..

You can park wherever you like. The company doesn't tell you where to park. I usually research RV parks on the Internet before we go anywhere and try to stay at the safest, cheapest park I can find.

The traveling jobs do not last that long, usually 2-3 months is average. However, some are shorter and some may be longer. They do have places with long term jobs but most of the time locals are hired for those jobs.

If you are looking on their "Employment" page of their website, don't pay any attention to those ads. They are directed toward more permanent work.

Ok, here are some quick answers to the last three posts...

sflsbrkr-
www.southerncrosscorp.com

Pond Jumper-
The jobs listed on the website that pay $11 per hour, are for permanent technicians that live in the areas where SCC has work, not "travelers". The starting hourly pay for traveling technicians is $8 hr. However, with per diem and vehicle allowance, a traveler's hourly pay comes out to about $15 per hour.

The Permanent jobs you saw do not get per diem.

lockdoc-
Yes, they are still looking for traveling technicians.

Oh and Pond Jumper...

last time I looked, I was still of the female persuasion

Of course I am getting older and they say the eyesight is the first to go
