The only problem we have had is the bolts shearing too. Got that fixed and there has been no other problems. Of course I have only had it for 3 months. And I have already been out 6 times. Really love my Flagstaff (sister of Rockwood).

I am no engineer so please forgive my explanation if I do not use the correct wording here. The bolts that shear (at least on mine) are the bolts that attach the two lateral bars of the slide mechanism to the slide out motor. From the motor you have two square shaped bars that attach on one end to the motor and on the other end to the roller mechanism. When the motor moves the slide it puts a lot of force on these bars and the bolts that hold them in place. So look at your slide motor (underneath the slide) and the first two bolts attached to the bars are the ones that broke on mine. Since replacing them with hardened bolts I have not had any problems. Hope this helps. PM me if you need a further explanation.

We've not yet purchased a new trailer but from what I can tell of this thread, a lot can be said for service after the sale. I think any trailer you buy new will have some issues and it is a good idea to make a test run somewhere nearby (either near home or near dealer). It does seem like the Forest River dealers have given good customer service on all of these issues, which makes me appreciate that we're looking to pick up a new Flagstaff in the spring!

Funny - I had the leaky shower drip rail issue as well. Looks like the caulk guy needs some training. I also had the Concertone system fry. Went back to my dealer and he took care of both problems ASAP.
Now, I have a new problem and it seems to be with the converter. It trips the GFI in my house when I plug the shore power cord into the outlet in my garage. I tried switching off all of the breakers and then turning them on one by one. The breaker for the converter and the fridge seem to trip it, so I'm guessing there is a condensation issue. I'm taking it back to the dealer again, but it is a major PITA to get there and back.
Just curious - anyone else having a problem with this?

Did you turn on your antenna power booster for better reception?

Ok, so we had the mobile techs out yesterday. Took a while to fix everything but apparently the problem with the TV is within the white panel box on the wall behind the TV. There was a short in the cable attachment. Once they fixed it we had a clear picture! Replaced both GFI's so we now have power again (woohooo!) and they fixed everything else in one visit. I'm crossing my fingers this is the end of it

Hi I just bought a 8313ss and overall it is good just hate my air matresses 4 holes 3in one and 1 in another which the one was never used until I found out I needed it. My sewer flush leaked the first time but an easy fix, just needed to tighten the connection.

Mine leaks also, can you tell where your leaking connection was, and how to fix it? Did you have to take anything major apart to get to it?
Thanks

We got ours in May. Concertone is a known problem from the info my husband has found thru the internet. We also have a leak with the sewer flush but can't tell where. We found water where the side door is (where you can put the bikes) We opened the area where the water filter is and the water sprays around from some of the hoses there when we use the flush. We also are leaking under the camper where the grey and black tank tubing comes out. Foam is all around the black tube but we get a constant drip. We are in Wisconsin thru Jerrys camping center. We are having lots of problems getting them to come out to the permanent site. They won't return phone calls or emails. This is the second camper we have purchased in the last 4 years and never had a previous problem with service. Obviously we asked about coming out to a site before we purchased the camper and was told it would not be a problem. We are also missing a sticker on the side of the camper.

Our kitchen GFCI blew after six months too. There are a lot of reports of this on another Forest River forum that I've browsed. They don't seem to use a high quality GFCI outlet from the factory.
Besides the GFCI, other problems in the first ten months:
- water pump not connected from factory (I wired it up)
- water leak in front cargo door (gaps in caulking behind molding)
- catches on two doors were not lined up from the factory (could adjust one, had to redrill/reinstall the other one)
- flickering reading light in bedroom (pulled light, re-crimped connections)
- black tank dump valve leaks, nasty stuff collects behind cap - surprise!
- strong odor in bathroom despite water seal in bowl and fan running - faulty seal between toilet and floor? still pending
