The sea islands are lovely, but there is no campground on St. Simon's. There is one on Jekyll Island.

I too have a sister living on St Simons. There is a real nice county park - believe it's Blythe Island County Park. Nice sites and free wireless. The campground on Jekyll is also nice, but you do have to pay the bridge fee to get on or off the island.

If you have plans to stay at state or county campgrounds, you might want to contact them first (if you haven't already) to make sure they will allow long-term stays. Some will only allow you to stay for two or three weeks, and then you have to leave and find another campground.
