I echo klutchdust's caution on temperature reactions with these products. Three weeks ago I tore out the front carpet in our class-A motorhome and replaced it with TrafficMaster Allure. At the time it was around 80 degrees outside. Three weeks later, with temps in the mid-50s most of the planks have shrunk to cause 1/8-inch gaps at the end joints. It'll be interesting to see if the gaps get even wider when it falls below freezing and/or if the planks swell to the point of buckling next summer. In any case, I'm pretty disappointed.
I installed the trafficmaster flooring in my class B in flordia's summer 95 + degree heat. I left room for expansion, but installed the seats, cabinet and bed frame on top of it. I really don't want to see the seams open up in cold temps, but it looks as if I will. At least I'm not likely to come across hotter temps and humidity than during installation so compressive buckling shouldn't be a factor.
One thing I certainly don't like is that when the van's metal floor flexes underfoot, the floor squeaks. I've been able to mitigate this somewhat by waxing the floors and pushing the wax into the seams. Wish I had the foresight to see these problems and not use this product where it was not designed to go.
