I am considering one of these little Campfires (like the Little Red Campfire) who has which kind and what do you like or dislike about the one you have.

We have a Portafire II and have had it for about 4 years now. They have changed the designed some. We really like ours and have no complaints.

i just got one for my birthday and it looks pretty neat, and seems to give off a lot of heat. it is a camp chef brand and it folds down really compact for storage.

I bought the FireDancer link. We are pleased with it. Had it going on 3 years now. Use it quite a bit. Gives off good heat as well..

Compact enough to fit easily in one of the TT storage compartments...

We also have the FireDancer. Have used it often and enjoy it. It gives off plenty of heat, uses little propane, and the lid screws on tight for storage.

New Frontier for us. Very realistic and gives off nice heat. It is especially handy right now. We are in Oregon and campfires are not permitted but we can use our's. Looks of jealousy from passersby.

Thanks for the post, I would like to ask - how long does a 5 gallon propane tank last at full flame?

Thanks

New Frontier for us. Had one for over ten years. Mine uses about a pound per hour wide open.

With our Portafire II we go through about two 5 gallon tanks on a two week trip. We use it from dusk to sometimes midnight every night. And that's not on low either.

There are a bunch of them and near as I can tell,, There is not a lot to recommend one brand over another... They all do much the same thing.. Rather nice when you are in a place where they are needed as opposed to a standard wood fire.
