I LOVE the ride & handling...CAT motor is strong but wish I got the MB...
Serice has been terrible. The factory is disorganized and unresponsive. My local dealer (whom I think has since lost the line) was so bad I was forced to send my unit back to the factory for service & warranty items...at my own expense! And it still sidn't come back right. Exterior fit & finish is mediocre at best. Washer/dryer doesn't work, same with the DW...Basement storage weak. Interior storage a little better but still weak.
I think if I had a local dealer, my experience would be much different.
But boy does it look and handle great & it pulls anything can put behind it without flinching.

You need to call Dan Johnston at the Dynamax factory and tell him what problems you have. If you are very unhappy with what the factory has done (or not done) so far, let him know.
His direct line is:
888-295-7859; ext. 212
We have found that sometimes they are slow, but all our issues have been addressed eventually. You have to make sure they know exactly what you want done and be persistant.
It's a pain I know, but a necessary evil when you are dependent on the factory to get the warranty work done.
Thanks...I have spoken with Dan a dozen or more times...A very nice guy and I think he does the best he can. But he seems overwhelmed and can't overcome the fundamental problems or the culture of the company. Nobody seems to kbow anything, nothing is on paper...It "feels" like a start up company that lacks systems, protocols, standards, etc. Of course, that is largely true of the entire industry.
I don't want to give a bunch of boring specifics...I can tell you that when my dealer screwed me up (and the unit up) the 3rd or 4th time is when I went over their head to the factory (Dan's predecessor)...Who was also a nice guy who aimed to please but couldn't get his arms around anything and solve it. He/they agreed that the dealer dropped the ball, apologized, blah, blah blah & agreed to take it back to IN, but at my expense...which I paid because I had no choice and was at the end of my rope. My rationale was that at least it will be 100%. It wasn't...Some items came back worse. And now they are not even calling me back. I realize I sound like one of those nuts that likes to complain and is never happy...That's what I would think if I read this...But I'm not.I had better service from Gulfstream on my Endura wich cost A LOT less. Again, if I had a local dealer, I think it would have gone much differently.
But again, I love the unit...In spite of the issues I have...I haven't driven anything I like better...Except the 45' with the tag axle and the MB motor!
I too had multiple major problems that needed to be addressed. I just kept calling and calling, whether they called me back or not. So I just basically bugged the******out of them until they got back with me addressed the problems.
We had to take ours to the factory to get things straightened out. We stayed free while there, but had to pay for the diesel to get there. I tried in vain to get reimbursed for the fuel cost but they wouldn't budge on that.
We were supposed to be there a week but ended up there for 3 weeks. They got most of the things fixed, but we still have a few they will need to repair sometime in the future.
We are still under warranty so every time something else goes wrong, I make them (Dan) document it in our file so it can be fixed free of charge when we are able to get back up to the factory.
We still have 2 years left on our warranty, but I don't know when we can get time to get back to Elkhart. That's why I make them add to our file, so in case we can't get up there before the warranty runs out, they will still have to fix the problems because they occurred before it expired.
We also really like the way the coach drives and handles. We only have a Mercedes 210, but it seems to work well. I wish we had the 300 CAT or at least the Mercedes 250, but that will have to wait for when we win the lottery
I am going to check to see if there is a chip we can install or something from Banks that can boost the hp. If we could jut boost it up to 250, I think that would make a big difference.
We have a Dynaquest 32. Wish we had a custom built 35, but again, waiting on the lottery call to upgrade to that.
We get all kinds of compliments on our rig. The "big truck" front end is a novelty I guess. Even the truckers at the fuel islands seem to think it is really cool.
Right now, we are very happy with the 10mpg we are getting. As long as we keep it between 55-65mph it gets a constant 10mpg.
With diesel prices going through the roof, that amount of mpg is very welcome.
