I broke the exterior handle on the drivers door on my '92 PaceArrow. I've tried a few suppliers like PPL, All-Rite, RVParts with no luck. I've submitted a request at Arizona RV Salvage. Any other ideas before I start melting metal together or fabbing a replacement? It looks like pot metal.

Are you sure that the handle itself is broken? I thought the handle was broken on my Kountry Star, but when I removed the door paneling, I found a broken rod about 4 inches long with offsets at both ends which connects the handle to the mechanism. I made a new one from a long peg board hanger and with a torch, bent the ends. Now it works as good as new. Just a suggestion. Good Luck! Nemo.

Oh, yeah. It's broken allright. The outside paddle type handle has been cracked for some time and it finally "got stressed beyond its elastic limit" and is flapping in the breeze.

Thanks for the suggestions. If they don't pan out, I'll let you know how the fabrication of the new one goes.

Can you post a picture? Someone might recognize it off a vehicle or that it was used by a truck body builder.

Everyone should have this number. This is the company that stocks Fleetwood parts, fabrics, light fixtures, ect. If it is on your motor home, they should have it in stock (except Workhorse stuff). They are back East I forget the address. They are some sort of clearing house or supplier for Fleetwood manufacturing. From what I understand, they supply Fleetwood’s warehouse.
