We are looking for a small TT. We like the 16' length however all of them seem to only come with a combo toilet / shower. DW is concerned that this will be impractical (ie. drying off the toilet after the showers, kids getting wet socks, tracking dirt from wet feet etc). Could you let me know if you've found the combo works well for your family?

Thanks in advance,

Thats how most showqers are on sailboats. It seems to work okay on them.

We dry the walls with a squeegee and have a small hand towel just for drying the toilet and shower floor. We also keep the vent open in the bath and keep the door open a crack. It does dry rather quickly and is not as much of an issue as one would think.

we looked in the same size range and found they all had the toilet/shower combo ,something I was not fond of at all.
The only model we found with seperate toilet and shower in 16ft range was the Jayco Jayfeather sport 165 ...bought ..love it ..will never regret it
here are some pics

Works fine, Use campground showers when available.
WAY BETTER than no shower at all.

We lookeded at the 165 as well. My wife was concerned about the how the dinette seats are right in front of the work counter (e.g. food spills). I was concerned about sleeping. I'd prefer a trailer where the dinette converts to a queen for us. I was also concerned about the length of the dinette in the 165 for the kids as it's shorter than most. Appreciate hearing your thoughts on the sleeping layout of the 165. Thanks so much,

I guess you have to give a little to get a little , my wife and I sleep on the bottom bed ,top bunk sleeps an adult and the dinnette is good for the little ones under 4 1/2 ft tall , although I did have to sleep with my DD one night on the dinnette after some bad dreams she had and I am 6'3" I got thru the night but now I have bad dreams about sleeping there

While the wetbath combo is certainly not as convenient as the separate shower and toilet in my larger TTs and Class C, it is very functional and we really have no complaints.

I think that this is more than acceptable tradeoff to allow "full bathroom facilities" on a small trailer.

My 16ft. Thor Wanderer has a full bath, meaning tub/shower combo, sink, and toilet, as well as linen closet. So not all small TT are the same.

Guess you have to answer that for yourself. Most the responses above don't seem to mind it. We had that on a previous rig and my wife and I didn't like it. We tried it a couple times and decided no shower or a spit bath was easier. Used campground showers whenever possible. That said, we had the TT for six years and loved it. We just didn't use it for showers.
