We will be doing our walk through on our new-to-us 31 foot Layton Skyline this Saturday and DH will be towing up to our seasonal site the following weekend. We've spent weekends at this campground the past two summers in a rental and are very excited to become "permanent fixtures"! It is 1.5 hours away so close enough to go often but far enough to feel like we're getting "away".

We are on our second year at a seasonal site. We found this campground right next to our favorite State Park. It has a small channel that is connected to the State Park lake so we can fish or take a boat ride to the park. We can also take a trail through the woods to the park. The campground has a pool and scheduled activities we can enjoy and is only 45 minutes from our home.

Hello,
I am outside of St. Louis and was curious where your seasonal site is. We have been thinking about getting a seasonal site, but do not know where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We bought our first TT this year and had it towed to the CG. Our plan was to leave it there so we can camp several days a week and tow it when we wanted to go somewhere once we found the TV. This weekend will be our first overnight. With the price of gas now we are going to enjoy the TT at the site this year and watch for a TV (or not). My parents seasonal camped for over 30 years and loved it. Campers are the best people and whether we travel or not we know we will meet many wonderful people.
Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

We moved into our new site as first time seasonal campers April 21st, with the increasing cost of gas and the never ending battle to book weekend camp sites we decided to give seasonal a try. We have traveled all over Canada and the USA for many years and loved every minute of it, for the last 14 years we have travelled to Prince Edward Island for 3 weeks in July which we will miss very much this year, but so far we are loving the convenience of jumping in the car for the hour and a half drive to Campers Cove and unlocking the door and relaxing. We will have a better idea come October if it's for us or not.

We also have a seasonal site in Minocqua/Woodruff area in northern Wisconsin. Found it on-line, had our son check it out 4 years ago and at that time he had a Jayco trailer he wasn't going to use anymore and we stayed in it that first summer to see if we would like "camping." We loved it and loved the park (Hiawatha Trailer resort) and the next year we went and bought a new larger trailer (Keystone 300FKMS) and in a couple weeks we will be going up again for the summer. We were planning on bringing it back to Tucson this year, but we may leave it there another year. We have a nice big site, tall trees, big patio and right on a small lake and about a 5 minute drive to Minocqua. We also get to see our son and some grandchildren each summer. Our other kids, grandkids live in Tucson. Regarding the site though, there are alot of other people who are permanents and it's always fun getting reacquainted with them each year. The park is very well taken care of, they upgraded the laundry room and put in new bath/showers this year. Have wi-fi and just enough activities to make it very nice. Plus they enforce the camp rules re: noice, speed limit and keeping the swimming area clean. Great little place.

We just signed up for our seasonal campsite, although we are new TT owners My mom has been camping at this site for 4 years and she loves it she doesn't even have a truck that can pull her camper soshe bought it off the CG owners and they just put it on her site she has it set up like a homestead and doesn't plan on moving it. Me on the other hand i plan on pulling mine out 3-4 times a year for my BBQ contests but it is nice always having it set up and ready to go just load the groceries and go everything else is at the camper we have made some friends and the kidslove to get away for the week end we will keep it there year yound but the CG is only open from April 1st to November 1st, the CG will winterize it for you for 25.00, the price we pay is 575.00 a year, heck i was paying 25.00 a month just to keep it in storage and it wasnt even set up at least this way if i work a weekend my wife can take the kids camping and not worry about setup.

We recently upgraded from our pop-up to a TT. We had the pup for 8 years, and didn't use it much because of the set up hassle. We also can't keep it at home, so we had to pay for storage. We put it on a seasonal site two years ago. Not only did we have someplace to store it, but it was ready for us to camp when we wanted. We camped more often than before.
We don't have a tow vehicle at this time, so we had our dealer tow the TT to our seasonal site. Its our summer cottage, its ready to go when we are. When we get that tow vehicle, we can pull offsite whenever we want. Between storage, paying for camping & our time, this option has worked out well for us financially & otherwise.

We have our TT on a seasonal site this year. We tried it last year for a few months and it worked well but we just wanted to move around some. With the price of gas this year we plan on leaving ours there. We pay by the month and the price includes water/elec/sewer. They are in the process of putting sewer on our site now. It is only about 20-30 min from home so we go most wknds. There is nothing much to do there except fish and there are 5 playgrounds for the children. They are having entertainment a few times this year which has just been added and they have a couple of other things throughout the year. There is no swimming but we take a little childs pool for our DGD and a sand box so she is happy. We also have tons of toys and games to keep her happy. We also like the paying by the month and no contracts so if we decide to roam we just pull out. DH built us a small deck this year and that is very nice. I can't say this is for everyone but it works for us if we want to camp a lot.
