I have searched this forum for the topics "Air Card" + Broadband & came up with very little.
My question is: Is anyone using an Air card for internet while driving?
(of course it's not being used by the driver - but the copilot - That would give my wife more driving time )
And: What combination makes this possible - if it is possible?
Thanks
Rick

Yes, any laptop/aircard would work in motion so long as there is a signal to receive. And there are plenty of places where there are no signals to receive. IMHO Verizon has the best coverage.

I do it. I use an external Wilson Truckers Antenna and a Wilson 3 watt amplifier, which helps as we move around. Air card is inserted into a wireless router, so I can use the laptop anywhere in the MH. I use Sprint.

I have the Verizon card as well. Works well when there is cell phone service as stated above.

Do you have good luck across the United States with Sprint.

We use our Verison Aircard all the time while driving down the road. Works excellent on the interstate, and anyplace where we get digital reception. Does not work on the large Indian Reservations (Monument Valley) as they have their own system. We have no problem getting full internet access at reasonable speeds, allowing photo downloads. We do have a Wilson external antenna which we plug in when the signal is weak, and shielded by the MH.

Perhaps these posts about air card, motion from the Technology section will help. Also...
Air card, broadband search results.
