Hey Everyone,
Looking for idea on how to make an awning lock...something to prevent my awning from unrolling as I travel down the highway - don't really feel like buying a new one just yet!

I use velcro straps. I place them as high as I can reach. Simple but effective, one on each arm.

This will keep your awning from coming down but it will not keep it from unrolling if the catch doesn't hold. The simplest I saw was the rod to unroll the awning was placed in the top slot of the roller, then strapped to the awning arm.

Velcro straps and similar devices are useless, unless your arm locks are loose or broken. You need something to lock the roller to keep the awning from unfurling if wind gets under it. I use a commercial product but the fix described in the above post sounds feasible.
