Hi Guys:
I really like Winnebago Motorhomes, but really don't understand the difference between the Voyage and the Adventurer, is it just and internal fixtures upgrade?
According to my brochure, the Adventurer and Voyage are just gasers no Deisel correct?
Anybody purchase or test drive the new Winnie Voyage 32H gaser. I was in it yesterday, really nice coach. I didn't have time for a test drive, so now I am kicking myself in the butt.
I am also interested in the Voyage 38J but am really concerned if a gaser can pull a 38' motor homes up really steep grades. I drove a 37' Georgetown up a steep grade and it was struggleing.
In the engine department would you opt for the higher HP Ford Chassis 6.8L SOHC Triton V10 362-HP engine 22.5 tires?
Sorry for so many questions, but being a newb to this it seems the options and choices are endless, but I am reseraching and learning.
Thanks for a great information site.
Regards... Jim P.

IMHO gas MH are good to the 26K max of the F53. Of course there is more power in some diesels and more importantly torque. Also depends on your idea of OK. Lenght wouldn't matter, weight would IMHO.
I happen to drive the Ford chassis but I believe either the Workhorse or Ford have enough grunt to go. There are those that believe one is better than the other that is 1) brand religion 2) personal choice. Both are valid emotions. Fact is, on the right floorplan both do well.

Adventurer has basement air/heat pump. Does the Voyage? That would be 1 difference, also Corian counters.

The Voyage has both the basement air and Corian.
The differences are in small features..the ceiling fabric, the outside graphics, light fixtures, etc.

I have 2005 38J Adventurer, 24000 chassis 22.5 tires. I do not have Corian counter tops. I do have double pane windows, basement air and heat pump. There is a difference on the wall thickness and materials I believe you will find, if you check it out with the factory. I'm not knocking the Voyage, I like them and believe that they are a fine motor home. Good luck on your choices. Mine drives fine and I have the workhorse, chevy and like it .

There are several differences between the Voyage and the Adventurer. I copied spec sheets for both into Word and set them up for viewing side by side. The Adventurer has considerably more ammenities standard and comes on the larger Ford chassis.
Most all the "standard features" on the Adventurer are available as options on the Voyage but buying them all would certainly raise the price above what the Adventurer costs.
If you go to:
www.winnebagoind.com
You can copy and paste both spec sheets and make the comparison for yourself. I was going to post all the differences but there's so many it would take a lot of room. That's probably the reason an Adventurer lists for about $20,000.00 more than a Voyage.
When we bought our Adventurer we purchased most of the options. Almost all of them are now standard equipment. If you can afford the Adventurer I would go for it. We've put almost 60,000 miles on ours so far and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Not true at all...there is absolutely no structural differences in the Adventurer and Voyage.....
Amentities are the only differences.

Just purchased a 2007 Voyage 35A in Feb and love it. The Adventurer/Voyage MHs are identical on specs, the differences are the Options vs. standrad features and upclass fixtures by a bit on the Adventurer. Also big difference is the full body paint standard vs option, at least that is my recollection.
I did purchase the heavier Chevy chasis with the Allsion tranny and couldn't be happier. The smaller chasis simply seft only about 700-1000 CCC and was simply not enough for our long term needs.
Good luck with your decision. What fun is ahead!!

Our friends have the 2007 38J Itasca Sunrise on a Workhorse chassis(same as Voyage). They love it and it zips right along. Their toad is a Saturn Vue and the MH has no problem going up mountains with it. Great floorplan!!
