The Adventurer was Winnebagos top of the line gas coach until they came out with there gas pusher. And you can no longer get a Winnebago DP in the 34 to 38 foot length just gas in those lenghts now! John

Amentities are the only differences.
I questioned the wall thickness statement myself but didn't bother to question it.

I would go with the 38J Model. It gives you much more room to grow into, and it's a very nice floor plan as well. The Adventurer and Voyage structures are the same. Earlier Voyage models had roof air, but this is no longer the case. Of course, interior appointments and amenities make these models different. Don't worry about power, either the new Ford or Chevy engine will propel you down the road or up the mountain just fine. Unless you are pulling another trailer behind you, or something silly like that. Test drive them both, see which one you like...

I presume the same comparison can be made between the Winnebago line and the Itasca line. Sunrise vs Voyage and Adventurer vs Suncruiser. It looks like only cosmetic changes to me. Has anyone done thses comparisons?

Hi Guys:
Thanks for all the information. I like the Voyage 35A and the Adventurer 38T, I still want to see the Adv 38J. I really like the TV and entertainment setup on the 38J.
I have been going to Tom Schaffers RV in Hamburg PA. I hear that they are not the best on price but their service is supposed to be great.
I have been to four dealers and one RV show. Is it better to buy an RV in the winter months compared to th summer in Northeast?
Still learning, great site, thanks for all the help.

I did the Sunova (Itasca) and Sightseer (Winnie) comparison. Colours and stickers outside and interior fabrics were the only differences. Pic your colour choice or Dealer choice IMHO.

As been said, mostly cosmetic - different interior & exterior palettes. There is one difference that I do know of. The Itasca comes with the dual paned glass standard while the Winnie has it as an option. This is a non-issue with the Z Package options and Grand package discount, as the dual paned glass is part of that.

I wouldn't buy neither of them. Winnebago only proved to me that they do not stand by their products. I bought a brand new Adventurer 38J just because of the floor plan with the tv on the floor right from the factory floor and it is nothing but trouble and Winnebago still has not fixed my issues.

You have determined that the difference in the models is primarily cosmetic, and it is. You also asked about Ford v Workhorse. Both had adequate power to handle the rigs in question. I might give the workhorse a slight advantage with the allison transmission however. If you get the larger unit with the w-24 workhorse chassis you will also get the allison 6 speed transmission. Quite a combination. You owe it to yourself to test drive both, then make your decision.
