If ya look closely a few posts down, I was simply IDENTIFYING the request.

We won't be going to Shady. We are also getting there on Friday after driving 3 hours, don't really want to drive another 80 miles round trip on Saturday to just turn around again on Sunday to drive another 3 hours back home. If we wanted to eat there that bad, we'd just camp up there.

I'm sure you all will enjoy your meal there though.

We would like to see Robo on this trip though!!!!

Must be the beach blonde thing!

Again, I was simply identifying a thought, not of my own.

I wanted to share something here.

While in NY, Scott called me very early in the morning this past Tuesday and I knew something was up. He has been living at the firehouse since December and has certainly been exposed to a number of things in the year he has been a firefighter. We share stories some nights.

A tragic incident occured right down the street from the firehouse and Scott was very much involved. His high school is also right down the street.

The small world syndrome does have it's way in the world. I am enclosing web links of the incident and a personal website regarding the family. Scott graduated with the oldest daughter. He and his date also attended the Senior Prom with her and her date. I attended a pre-prom party and met the whole family. My ex also works at Johns Hopkins as a further point of reference.

Very sad.

now see this is why we should not bring lap tops on vacation. This sounds like it was a very terrible accident. Cops and fireman never have a easy job(at all). Hope your son is handeling it well Scott. THis was his first of I am sure many horrible scenes he will experience. But we can not survive without people like you and your son.
That family is in our thoughts and prayer.

Shady Maple is a little far just for breakfast. Maybe we should save it for the Spring Gulch fling next year.

And, I DO take LOTS of pics! Ah memories!

Robo...I'm sorry to hear this has hit so close to home. I've been following the story. It's just one that has caught my attention, esp. with this guys priors and what he was up to. MAN! It is so sad. I'll continue to keep the family and your son in my prayers!
