MY DAKOTA ADDRESS.COM WORKED GREAT FOR US. We looked into Florida and Texas also but So. Dakota seemed to be the most advantageous for us.

I'll also put a plug in for My Dakota Address in Madison, SD. The owner, Teri is awesome and gives each customer personal attention. When I signed up with her last year she was one of the lowest priced mail forwarding services in SD.

As far as becoming a SD resident I went to SD last May, set up near Sioux Falls and spent an hour or two with Teri in Madison to set everything up. I suppose you can do all of this via e-mail or snail mail but you will definitely need to be in SD in person in order to obtain a driver's license, etc. After that, Teri takes care of everything, even obtaining your new tags for you when they are due. The DMV, court house and post office are within walking distance of her office, so she can easily perform these tasks.

Ditto on MyDakotaAddress. Teri is great. She will go the extra mile for you
We have managed to eliminate almost all significant snail mail so when we call her she is always willing to look at our stuff and tell me who things are from. When we received unexpected notices from the State of Va Dept of Taxation she at our request opened it while we were on the phone, read it to me and offered to scan it and e-mail it to me. Saved me a big headache. Considering we have the least expensive plan with them I'd say she is top notch in taking care of her customers.
