I winterized it with RV antifreeze (sob, sob!!) and put a 1" elastomeric foam pad on the queen size fold out bed. The foam pad works real great in that it not only makes the bed much more comfortable, but also makes the sofa a little firmer and more supportive when the bed is folded up into the sofa configuration. I don't think the "J-Steel sofa" will take much more than a 1" topper. Mine was very tight re-folding it into the sofa. Anyway, I had fun!

Yesterday I stopped by to replace the grate under the counter inside that covers the access to the water heater bypass that I uncovered a short time ago when I needed to get to it when I winterized.

Other than that, last night I ordered a motion activated light for the entry door to make unlocking easier and an add-on arm rest for the driver's door.

Other than that, I just daydreamed of going someplace.

My wife and I went for a drive to a park, ran the generator powering an electric heater, made microwave popcorn, played games, filled up with gas and propane and put it back in the driveway. A good way to exercise the engine, tranny and generator, and have a bit of fun doing it.

Today I purchased a dvd player to go with the VCR and hooked it up.

I had the two front Goodyear tires spin balanced while still on the front end, therefor balancing the wheel and hub together as a unit.

Filled up the gas tank. Purchased a locking gas cap.

Yesterday I purchased a 1200 watt, compact generator at Schucks auto supply for 90 dollars. I want to keep the hours off of the Onan if I can and this little foreign generator runs like a top (not sure how long) and fits in the storage nicely. Also picked up a small air compressor w/ a 2gal tank for 60 bucks there as well.

Silent Valley....

I used to go there all the time as a kid! My parents still have the membership but don't go very often.

Used to be a great time for a teenage kid!

Drove over to the locked storage facility we use and attached signs to the windows of both cab doors... the signs say "NO TV or RADIO or TOOLS LEFT INSIDE. Some SOB already stole them!"

Stopped by the storage facility to visit the RV, it makes a great place to hide Christmas presents!
