First real chance to start getting a new rig ready for camping. Improved wiring harness routing around dump valves. Insulated outside shower and installed new towel bar and TP holder. Planning upgrades already... light in dump valve area, and wondering about how to best use the deep cubby holes in the entertainment center above cab.

Found the kids missing wii games (in overhead cabinets) that they were so sure they unpacked from our last trip, then I discovered the generator has a circuit breaker that cuts off power to the house. This was after I spent an hour troubleshooting the dead 120 volt outlets.

Last spring I put more and heavier springs in the lower part of the couch but did not had time to do the back. So took the back part of the couch out this last weekend and found it had no springs just two steel rods and foam. Also not enough room to put springs in. After my wife and I thinking about it a while we came up with putting a piece of half inch ply wood over the frame and then using two of the exercise foam pads that are about 1/2 thick making 1 inch of very heavy closed cell foam over the plywood. Reinstalled the other foam and cover. It raised it so its level with the other part when down. And was firm but nice to lay on. I sleep on the couch so wanted it firm for my bad back..

Late this fall we had also replaced the foam in the dinette where my wife sleeps with extra firm foam from a Hospital bed matteress. There was just enough foam in a twin bed matteress to cut the dinette pieces from . So now we both have places to sleep that we like.

Hi all,

Winterized it after a successful trip in below freezing conditions. I lucked out and missed the huge wind storm in Calgary.

Our black tank had been draining more and more slowly and less and less completely and finally two days ago it couldn't be drained at all: pulling the outside handle accomplished nothing. And to my horror, the same was true of the grey tank. Nothing drained and even with both handles open the sewer hose stayed empty!

We use tons of water and very little paper (really thin 1-ply), plus all the correct tank tablets, so I couldn't understand this.

Finally yesterday I spent over two hours repeatedly shoving a garden hose further and further up the black tank pipe ... and I don't have to say what came out! And that was just the first stuff!! Kept encountering bigger and bigger clumps and finally, guess what popped out?
a thin, round plastic disc!!

Apparently when they'd drilled installation holes in the tank they didn't bother to remove the round scrap and over time it just worked its little way to total blockage.

Wonder how many other MH are out there with total constipation but a shake or bump away?!

Yes I heard of this happening many times lazy people who do stupid things like that. Then they lose there jobs and wonder why, no pride in workmanship.

i replaced the sub-woofer amp. the old one died. it was about 20 years old.

now we bumpin' down da road! well, not really. but i dont have to turn it up loud enough to feel the bass and risk popping the door speakers across the cab! even the DW likes it

Finished part 2 if my three meter mod. Installed a voltmeter to monitor the battery a couple of months ago and now, after several delays in getting the AC meter, I installed an AC voltmeter to monitor the line voltage when I have hook ups. Both are switched. Part 3 will be to monitor current into and out of the battery, probably next spring. Wouldn't want to rush into things.
