Suggestions for good places to eat in the area. We aren't too picky and like all types of food. We probably won't do anything ultra fancy on this trip.

If you want the best BBQ in the midwest go to McClure's, I'm pretty sure that's the name. Just ask anyone and they will be able to tell you where it's located. It stays very very busy....

There is a restaurant on Amity Road called Jasons Burgers- very good catfish, ribs and the best hamburgers you will find. Go down Central to Amity and turn and go about 100 yards...... Downtown sorta close to the Arlington area is a restaurant called Colorado Grill (I think on Quapaw)- very good Mexican and you can park around back.------ For breakfast try the Pancake House on Cental downtown in the art area - has been around for decades but only open till 12:30 - great sausage and pancake breakfast.----- For bar b que I prefer Whole Hog Bar BQ out near the airport just about a mile to the right off exit 1 off the bypass. If you are there anytime soon be sure to visit Garvan Gardens for a beautiful walk and the chapel.

The BBQ place that's been around for years is McClard's BBQ - 505 Albert Pike Hot Springs, AR 501-623-9665. It's been featured on the Travel Channel, etc. I've actually never eaten there, even though I'm from AR originally, but I hear it's great.

I understand that Bill Clinton used to eat out quite a bit while working in Arkansas

Perhaps he can suggest a place or two.

Its pricey, but worth it. I never miss a trip to the Arlington for Sunday brunch. Never.
