I developed floaters (they look like bubbles to me) after a serious car accident about 24 yrs ago which did result in major eye surgery. Some days are worse than others as far as noticing them, but I have learned to ignore or 'look around' them. Fortunately my eye specialists warned me about them after the surgery so it didn't scare the beejeebers out of me when I first noticed them.
You are right gasbag!!! They are extremely fast little buggers!!!
In March, I noticed that my right eyesight was not as clear, colors not as vivid. I scheduled an appointment and the doctor said I have LOT'S of floaters in that eye. I rarely see them. He said I have 20/15 vision, though.
and all this time I thought I had my own personal kaleidoscope. I like to just lay there and let them get to a certain point then shift my eye and start all over again. enjoy them

I hate to bring bad news, but if I were you I'd go to an eye doctor if they popped up all of a sudden and there are a lot of them. I had floaters pop up all of a sudden. Got a referral to a specialist and he found I had a torn retina. He did surgery right then to repair it. If I had waited, the retina could have become detached. The floaters are gone. The surgery is nothing. He numbed my eye and then repaired the tear by freezing. It can also be done with laser.
