Hi All,

We won't be able to make it to the rally this year. Mark can't get out of work until late Friday. With it being a 3 hour trip for us, only being able to be there for a day and a half just doesn't justify the time and expense to get there and back. I'm really bummed, but what can you do. Guess I will have to wait until the fall to see some of you. I hope you all have a great time at the rally! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures.

Sorry you won't be able to make it to the rally, Karen. You will be missed!

With Karen and family not attending, would anyone be willing to pick up the slack and bring any of the following items:

4 containers of cream cheese, gallon of orange juice, a coffee urn, and a dinner entree (Karen was bringing a baked ziti).

If any of you have friends who are coming who are not on the forum, please ask them if they'd like to help, too.

Thanks!!!

UPDATE: My sister is bringing the coffee urn so that has been taken care of.

Sorry Jay, I'm depressed too. On top of not being able to take Friday off, we were just informed by the parents of one of the kids on our baseball team that her son needs to be out of baseball for a few weeks due to a knee injury, so if we did go to the rally, our team would then be down 2 players, a coach and a scorekeeper and we would have to forfeit the game due to lack of players. So I guess having a couple of different reasons for not being able to go to the rally feels better than just one. Ok, not really.

Thanks to Jay and Steve for their generosity! We now have the orange juice and the cream cheese shortage taken care of. Does anyone want to bring an additional entree (it doesn't have to be a baked ziti)?

Karen and Mark, what the heck! One of the last perfect attendance records down the drain! Jeeez, does that leave me and Gerry! (I just got a shiver)

Nothing left to do but put a song in your head.
A duet would be appropriate

Now send a wire to the main office and tell them that I said

I know! I was proud of that record too! But unfortunately, duty calls. I'll be there in spirit though. Guess I'll have to work on a new record now. Can't beat Jay's lack of fingers record, so that's out. Mike has the record for the least amount of hair, so that's out too. Gordy has the ugliest underwear, and Susie has the longest soap on a rope. Gerry has the longest table turfing record. Wow, my options for newest records are limited!
