It's interesting to read the dichotpmy of inputs. I suppose we might have read similar anecdotes when folks debated whether they needed to wear a seatbelt or not. I prefer cheap insurance.

That might explain why the towers are more than 1 foot high

I use about a 3 foot washing machine hose(rated at 150lbs.and can be purchased at any hardwarestore) to connect between the campground faucet, and a Watts regulator. From the Watts regulator I use the white potable water hose to the MH. Makes an easy protected connection for the regulator to the camp faucet and protects the white hose.

My '74 Terry had all soldered copper lines. No plastic anywhere.

Our family trailers from the 1960's and '70's (Streamline and Silver Streak) had all copper plumbing and factory-provided WATT's regulators.

I went to Lowe's & Home Depot today to pick up a watts regulator only to find that Home Depot does not carry them( at leats my HD)and the cheapest at my lowes was $57.00. Cheaper to buy it online but I will check a few of the plumbing houses around town.

Is there a particular model that should be looked for? if so, can you please post the mod. #?

Thanks, Mike

Mike,
I had the same problem...so I ordered a Watts from these guys. They are already set up for RV use.. poke around this site. There are a number of choices and options. (I posted this link earlier in this thread.)
