You might want to invest in a computer data base such as RV Consumer Group. They classify what makes are rated, how much then weight, what you will need to tow them, and a lot more. Sure the information is not free, but I would rather spend a few bucks more and save a bundle later.
You will find that many people will tell you their opinion, and from what I have read, most have been informative. But you know what they say about opinions: They are like a**holes, everyone has one, and no two are alike!
As others have already commented on; if you're looking in the $75-100,000 trailer market you're also going to be in the medium duty truck market so that may change your options. I've not seen many, or any for that matter that can be towed with an F350.

I don't quite agree with the above post. Those RV ratings do not cover all brands and some are rated wrong.
You will get lots of good information on here.
We would recommend Carri lite. Very nice and they use good products in building and the electronics. You should take the factory tour, which we did before we got our carriage.

The New Horizon factory here where I live have some used 1-2 year old units that are like new. Are the only 5 star rated units made and well worth the money. Look on their web site or ad in Trailor Life.

Our Mtn Aire is the shortest one made in 2005 and it has a GVWR of 20k. Kountry Aires are generally heavier yet.
In my opinion your right Dennis M M but then i guess its different strokes for different folks.
I'd seriously look at the HH Champagne series of trailers, the biggest thing holding you back will be the size of your truck especially if it's a SRW and not a Dually.

I agree that Horizon is one of the better, if not the best choice. But, as I see it, they do have three drawbacks. They are costly, heavy, and you buy directly from the factory.
If you are looking for a quality RV it will cost you. You get what you pay for no matter what it is. But buyer beware. Just ask FEMA how they buy RVs and do the opposite!
The heavier (because of the quality of the construction) the RV the more truck you will need to haul it. This means spending more money and trying to figure out if a MD like a F-450 will due or will you have to go to a Volvo like many people on this list will tell you.
Pulling does not seem to be the issue, stopping is. I wish that trucks were rated for stopping ability while towing their maximum load. They could test and rate them with and without a full tow. Wouldn't that be nice?
Buying from a factory might be a good thing, I don't know. You may save money but then I have yet to see a Horizon in the "flesh". Going to the factory would be a good thing because you can see how they are built. I wish they were located closer to me so I can get there easier.
