Apparently there will be a new hitch released after the first of the year.

Looks like Jim Hensley (yes that Hensley) and Sean Woodruff have formed a new company called ProPride and will be selling a Hensley derivative hitch.

I have very LITTLE details of the hitch and was wondering what others have heard or seen?

The details I do have are they have eliminated the strut bars and frame brackets so it will be interesting to see how they stop the pivot at the ball interface.

It uses the Hensley Pivot Point Projection.

It has 3/4" thick links and 1.5" link spindle into the lower main unit and 1.0" link spindle into the upper main unit

Also it has an adjustable hitch bar to match any tow vehicle/trailer combination.

Price...well I believe it will be $2000 if ordered THIS YEAR and $2500 next year...

Well maybe I do have more info than I thought...LOL

Edit to add this link:

But here's all the info I have for the company http://www.trailerswaycontrolfacts.com It takes you to a page where you enter your information (name, address, etc) if you are interested in a sway control facts report they are sending out thru the mail for FREE... (end edit)

I also believe ProPride will sell OTHER style WD hitches (i.e. Reese, Equal-I-zer and the likes)...as well as other RV supplies/products...but I have no details on that either...

Anybody heard of this yet?

joe.

Did he sell Hensley MFG or is the patent about to run out?

Why a new company I wonder.

I do not believe he ever owned Hensley MFG and they only used his name as the designer of the hitch...but I could be wrong.

If you go to MyRVTalk and scroll down to Technical Topics, click on Exterior, then open Sean & Trailer Sway Elimination you'll find a lot of info about Sean's plans.
