I'd like to hear from anyone who has camped in the Niagra Falls area. I'm hoping to find a woodsy camground, not a parking lot...
Anyone with experience here?
Married to a non-camping enthusiast, but he goes on short trips anyway

I love the outdoors and doing mods on my SantaFe.
We camped in a 40' motorhome without a problem. I recall we had electricity and water but no sewer at the site. They did have a dump station.

I stayed at the KOA on the US side and we hated our cramped site.It was a pull thru. The sites towards the entrance all looked good for a smaller rig.It was a nice campground, just had a craapie site.
We just went to NF in August...stayed at Niagara Falls Campground. It was good for a launching point...I would not stay there for any other reason... I heard Lewiston KOA is nice.
I like Four Mile Creek State Park, about 10 minutes from the falls. Large wooded sites overlooking lake Ontario. Well managed, the campground offers amenities for family and sportsmen. Clean, quiet and convienient.
We liked the KOA in Niagara Falls, Ont, but that probably falls into the "parking lot" category where you are concerned. All sites level but not enough trees to qualify as "woodsey." We chose it to be close to the attractions we planned to see.
Try Scott's RV Park on Lundy's Lane, NF, Ontario. A little farther out then the KOA. A little more rural. Still has shuttle service to all the NF attractions.

We have checked out most of the campgrounds on the Canadian side and we still go back to the KOA Lundy's Lane. Enough trees for us and nice places for campfires. And the facilities are hard to beat.
