I am hopefully getting a Jayco 23B this month. A local dealer has met RVDirects price! I am concerned about the tires.
I do alot of highway driving, faster than the 65mph that ST tires are rated for, sooo...

What brand/size of 14" tires would be best?
Am I correct that LT tires are the best way to go for higher speeds?

Thanks for your help. I want to get the tires figured in the deal instead of the marathons.
Thanks Dave

Just go up a size or two for LTs to compensate for the side wall stiffness so they'll stand up to the stresses of a double axles making turns. You pick the brand. Good luck / Skip

Keep in mind that your gas mileage will drop dramatically as you increase your speed above 65 while dragging that aerodynamic brick down the road. You may be able to get 10-11 mpg at 65 but that could drop below 8 at 75. I think I've hit as low as 6 1/2 trying to keep up speed going uphill out west.

Dramatic drop in fuel economy above 65mph is an understatement!

In open road situations like out west, I don't like the idea of the 65mph limit on st tires. Sometimes time is more important than mileage! As long as you are safe. Is it not true that those speeds are not good for st tires?

LT tires come in 13" size? I've not seen any smaller than 15".

I don't think they come in 13 or 14.

Faster than 65? Why? And like others have said I dont think you can get LT tires in that size....safer to keep what you have and slow down
