Has anybody tried to mount a full length wall mirror inside the "House" of your RV. I can easily mount them on any door. I'm talking about mounting directly to the wall, perhaps the wall that shows after the slideout is out. Do you mount it directly with mirror clips or glue it, or perhaps use Velcro?? Just wondering. I would also like to put mirrors on the walls in back and side of the stove. What do you think?

We have lots of mirrors in our rv. I replaced the mirror over the headboard last spring. Just use double stick tape (like the rv mfrs use). Also be sure your mirror is safety backed to contain glass chards if it is broken, and use 1/8" glass to keep the weight down.

I mounted a full length wall mirror in the bedroom. I used standard plastic mirror clips with shorter screws than supplied with the clips... just enough to go through the wallboard.
The mirror is very lightweight, so I'm not concerned about it falling off the wall. (Got it at Walmart).

I've put mirrors in a couple of MH's. The ones in back of the stove and counter I had the glass company cut to fit and bevel the edges and corners. Those were rather small so I used the decorative mirror hangers on the tops and also secured with a special mirror adhesive. A large apx. 3x4' wall mirror I had the glass company cut and drill holes in the corners. I hung it with molly screws and the mirror adhesive. The screws were special mirror screws that allow a decorative cap to be snapped over the head. Some glass companies will install your mirrors for you but will also give you tips and tell you all about different ways to do it yourself. When using the mirror adhesive remember it's there to stay.
I don't think you would be happy with Velcro as there is going to be a lot of bouncing on the roads. Their fun to do.

I found out the hard way that simple screws do not hold well in the thin wallboard of rv's. Add to that the thin cavity and the best recommendation would be 1" Molly Bolts.

The double-sided foam mirror tape will absorb vibration but it is the mirror brackets that hold it in place and they need to be secure.

RVSnowbird is correct. Simple screws are not the way to go with RV wallboard. In my posts I said screws when I meant a molly anchor and then get the special mirror screw/bolt to fit the anchor so a decorative mirror hole cap can be used.

I test drove a class A that had a big mirror in it and everytime I'd look in the rear view mirror I'd see a reflection of oncoming traffic! It scared the c**p out of me every time! I did swerve a couple of times and the salesman couldn't figure out what I was doing. It looked just like I was heading into cars from the opposite direction. It was mounted behind the drivers seat on the wall about 8' back and the mirror was facing the front so when you look in the rear view, you'd see out the windshield, YOWIE! Sorry, enough time wasted, no, I don't know how to mount a mirror.

Thanks gang. Looks like mirror adhesive and/or 1" molly bolts will work.
