don't know about the new suspension. but the new tent design hasn't been out long enough to get a lot of feedback.
as far as earlier leak issues, i'm assuming you're talking about earlier years with the standard type of tent end.
as far as i know, those issues were with pre-05 cub/kodiak hybrids. since '05, i think those issues were resolved.
here's a link to the cub/kodiak expandable owners forum. you'll get better answers to your questions there.

I just bought my new hybrid a couple of months ago and did a ton of research. I must have stepped in dozens of different hybrids before I made my decision. I started with internet research and loved the Kodiaks. They had everything I wanted and some great floorplans. Then I actually got into a couple. I did not think they are as well made as some of the other brands out there. The fit and trim on the inside was not great. Cabinetry was was pretty flimsy and it just did not seem as solidly made as some other brands. It was lighter weight, but that also means lighter materials. I ended up looking at Roos and Antiguas and liked them a thousand times better. This was after I had every intent originally of finding the Kodiak floorplan I wanted and buying it. Just my humble opinion.

We have a 01'Kodiak 215 and really like it, it has vinyl floor so we use some
throw rugs and really don't care about pretty cabinets but they work good. No
leaks. We looked at the rest and only the Starcraft seemed better and a lot higher price. The ends are as good as we had on a Starcraft pop-up. For camping don't think you really need a Cadillac camper for rv.

We spent a lot of time checking out many models as well. I'm a happy Aerolite Cub owner (same as the Kodiak). No leaks, no problems with the quality of the unit - except the radio. Radio is pretty cheap, but that seems to be the same industry wide.
We got a lot more outside storage with our unit. One problem I had with the ROO was the awkward geometry in the bathroom - could not sit on the toilet and close the door! Check it out, they may have changed the layout.
Really, they are all pretty good.

We love our Kodiak 214, it has everything we need.
Had it out about 12 times so far.
We deciced on that unit after going to 2 RV shows and 2 or 3 dealers.

I noticed the same thing, but it depended on what model I “sat” in. You’ll find the Roo’s & Shamrock’s with the “corner shower” bathrooms on the roadside (19, 23B & 23SS) get a larger, full size sink and more legroom so your knees (if your tall) don’t hit the office door.
Units with the “corner shower” bathrooms on the curbside (183, 21SS & 233) get a smaller sink and less sitting legroom (taller rider’s knees will hit the door).
The increased legroom (4” or maybe 5”, I think) is because the vanity width is wider, hence the reason for the larger sink.

I agree - the bathroom in the ROO and the lack of counter space in the 233 (I was shopping the ROO 233 and the Jayco 232) made it a no brainer. It was nearly a laughing matter when I couldn't shut the door while on my throne!
