Not seeing pictures in signatures or within text posts? This topic will troubleshoot not only that problem but sign-in and posting problems related to your browser settings.
Seeing picture problems:
1. Go to your "My Forums" at the top right of all forum pages
2. Look for your "My Preferences" in the links bar below it. Check:
Preview thread when mousing over subject
Show members signatures when viewing topics
Show images that are part of posts (not recommended for dial-up users)
Show quick reply box at the bottom of topics
While there, check your other preferences and then click on Submit Changes at the bottom of the page
Sign-in, posting problems or still not seeing pictures?
Follow these steps: Internet Explorer:
1. Clear your cache in Control Panel/Internet Options/General -or- Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/General
a. Delete Cookies
b. Delete Files including Off-line
2. Check Security settings, no higher than Medium (Default if unsure)
a. Under "Sites", enter "http://www.rv.net"
3. Check Privacy setting no higher than Medium High (Default if unsure)
4. Under Privacy/Advanced, check "Overide automatic cookie handling" and then check "First party cookies" and Block third party cookies (or uncheck "overide automatic cookie handling" and it will do it for you.)
5. Check Advanced/Multimedia - check Show pictures, animations, etc. (Restore Defaults if unsure)
6. Sign or Log out
7. Reboot/restart your computer 8. Sign or Log in Note: clearing your cache as above will force a sign in to all websites that were previously automatic. __________________________________________________________________________________
Mozilla Firefox
On menu bar, Go to:
1 Tools
2 Options
3 Privacy
4 Click History Clear
5 Click Cookies Clear
6 Click Cache Clear
7 Go to Web features
8 Make sure the “Load Images” is checked
9 Make sure the “for the originating web site only” is not checked
10 OK Note: Tool-opitions-privacy Click on the + in front of Cookies There needs to be a check in the box before "Allow sites to set cookies" ___________________________________________________________________________________
Apple/Mac Safari
Safari menu Select "Reset Safari".
Preferences/Appearance
Check "Display images when the page opens" ___________________________________________________________________________________
