I am heading back at the end of July from Glacier National Park in Montana towards Fl. Wanted to know if traveling south through Wyoming and colorado and then head east at Denver was not a bad ride with a 23 footer travel trailer. In 07, took I90 east thru S. Dakota and thought is was really boring that way. will ultimately end up going thru Missouri on the same route.
Help....?

I live in Fl and have property in MT., was in GNP, Banff, Jasper this summer and came back this time on I-15 to Provo to US 6 (good road w passing lanes on the long grades) TO I-70 to US 191 through MOAB, UT. Be sure to see Arches, NP and many others in area on way down to I-40, 191 is a very easy drive and one of the most scenic in the country, allow 2 or 3 days on 191, plenty of campgrounds on it. I have driven back and forth to MT 5 or 6 times in Class A, I hate I-90 also, it is always very windy.

You can angle down off I-40 on Indian Turnpike east of OK City, but it is a little rough but with little traffic. I then picked up I-49 to I-10. If you go this way, be sure to take I-12 bypass around NOLA unless you want to stop there.

That's how I'd go but keep an eye on the weather. Towing in the snow is my idea of PUNISHMENT for crimes I've yet to commit. Good luck / Skip

Doubt if Rbaunchi will find any snow on the highways going from Glacier NP to Florida next July. Might be some snow banks alongside the highways in high elevation areas but that's unlikely

How many days does it take going your way through Colorado,of course not stopping? driving 10-11 hours per day. If its can be done in six day's.... sure would like to stop in Moab and see the Arch's

If you want to avoid boring drives try this route.

Look at coming down thru Flaming Gorge – Dinosaur – Rifle – Maroon Bells – Marble – Ridgeway – Ouray – Lake City – Silverton – Creede – Great Sand Dunes NP –Buena Vista -- then Rt24 thru Colorado Springs to Rt36 across Colorado, Kansas and Missouri.

Then start to head diagonally South to Florida – should be a nice trip.
