Bummer huh, anyone else missing their Allis Chalmers orange HA about now...I've never greased or lubed the stinger, just kept it clean and it has always connected and disconnected just fine.

Good advice given here, basically you just get the hang of when is high enough lift before disconnecting.

Hey Canada, you mentioned you have been through several stingers, its because of different TT's and TV's? I need to get mine sent off this winter and go to a straight or 2" drop. Had the TT axles flipped and now it sits low in the front.

No more AC orange for me.....it's now Ace Epoxy Black, and sitting in pieces in my garage witing for the new TT to arrive from the mfr.

Heaterswa, what stinger do you have now? These things are reversable, ie, a 2" drop = a 2" rise when you turn it over. I would try that before you order a new one.

I beleive its the 4" drop. The trailer used to sit really low to the ground, I think the 4" rise would be too much. Hensley exchanges the stinger for the cost of freight only.

Thanks one & all for the info I understand how to do it now. I'm really thinking about ordering one. I guess they really do all that they say they do. I hope so for the price but I figure it will last as long as I'm ever going to pull a travel trailer. Thanks Dan
