French silk chocolate pie is traditional here.
Serve very thin slices; its rich. And use the pasteurized eggs, its safer.
PM for recipe or google.

Farmhouse Peacan Pie

2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
1 Tbsp plain flour
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c karo syrup
1 c pecans
unbaked pie shell

Spread pecans in pie shell, mixed together the other ingredients and pour over pecans.

Preheat over to 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 & bake pie 30-45 minutes.

I'll post the Chocolate Rum Cake, after my 2nd cup of coffee.

This no-bake Cherry cheesecake is a favorite of my families and I make it around the holidays every year. It's so easy to make!

Cherry Cheesecake

1 8 0z package of cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
8 oz of cool whip
1 can prepared cherry pie filling
1 9" graham cracker crust (buy one or make your own)

Soften cream cheese to room temperature. In a mixer, beat until creamy, then add sugar. (or beat by hand if you have no mixer, what a work out). Fold in cool whip and spoon into prepared graham cracker crust. Top with one cherry pie filling and chill for at least two hours before serving.

Variation beat cherry pie filling into the cream cheese mixture with mixer. By hand stir in some chocolate chips. Cherry chocolate cheese cake!

Enjoy!

We always have Amaretto Mousse Cheesecake for Christmas dinner dessert. It's really light - not heavy like a cheesecake normally is. YUM!

Leo Benson,
I have had that pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling and it was absolutely wonderful but I never got the recipe. Do you have it and would you be willing to share it here? I know I would appreciate it and I know others would too!

Thanks to all, I am really confused now. Here are some of my favorites. Home made cherry pie with cherries not out of a can. My husband requested an old favorite that I haven't made in Years, not sure others will like it. The old choc. mayonnaise cake with the homemade frosting made from dream whip and pudding. Another of my favorites is the Texas sheet cake. I'm getting hungry thinking of all. I especially like the pecan pie recipe, thanks for giving them to me. I made homemade marshmellow creme fudge yesterday.

sure, I'll post it separately. I got it from a woman in the Red Cross office in Norfolk, VA about 22 years ago.
