Don't know about yours, but mine can't get UV rays,it's at the tank, under my bed, I'm sure there is some sort of brass one that will work.

I know what yours is like, its the same as mine, I think, If it mounted on the side with two screws, like mine is, its a bad place to mount it. I have not replaced mine from UV damage, more like a low sign in a gas station.
If you can deal with the holes in the side, mount a small brass ball valve from any hardware store under the coach.

My old trailer (Fleetwood Gearbox) had a regular gate valve like your sewer dump gate valve, only it was smaller (1 1/2" to 2"). Worked well, never noticed any problems with it. Worked well, I could dump over 100 gallons of water, if needed, in nothing flat!

This thread says the guy bought a brass valve to replace his at Lowe's: brass valve
You didn't say if your petcock is the barb or threaded type. I would recommend taking your petcock to Lowe's and other hardware stores in the area and have someone there match up a metal replacement.

Yup I got the same piece of junk petcock. Went through sall the trouble of replacing it with a brand new one . . . that leaked worse than the UV ate up one. I bought but have not yet installed my new brass valve that just looks cool. It was suggested to me to use one of those foam squishy ear plugs in it if it keeps leaking. Dripping water is amazing at producing volumes of water. I can drain a 40 gallon tank in what seems to be a few short hours.

Solved the problem, wll screw a door from Camping World to cover the hole where the drain valve is. Remove the cheap plastic petcock and replace with a brass one and just let the hose hang under the coach.

Well, yeah that would seem to work nicely too, and leave a finished spot on the side as well where it was. Never thought about letting it hang, but I don't see a downside there, long as it is there when i need it.
