Well I am back. Looks like my Ford PSD is a lemon after all. I didn't think it would start after reading this thread, but sure enough it did. How can that be? I am calling the hot line in the morning and complaining that my PSD started and ran properly. I am so glad I checked this thread again.

Aaaahh yesss,,,, that warm fuzzy feeling,,,,, secure in your faith,,, in your ,,,,6.0 PSD....???..!!!! 6.0 PSD!! Still under warranty..??!!!
Aaaahh yesss,,, WARRANTY...... Till 100,000 miles. Aaaaahhhh

LOL

You guys will never believe this. This morning when I went to the garage to see if my poor little PSD would start. It was cool outside so I just knew I had no chance of this thing firing up. After all, its a PSD. I put the key in...waited till the little orange light went out...turned the key....it started. I was so shocked. Then to my delight I put it in "R" thangie and it moved out of my drive way. The whole way too. Next I tried the "D" thangie...pushed on the pedal that was located to the far right just left of the center console and for some reason this truck moved. Then I proceeded to drive 27 miles in stop and go traffic to my office.

My poor little PSD.

That's impossible. Haven't you read this thread. Your not being honest. On the way to work you developed a bed plate oil leak, your EGR valve took a dump, the turbo vains stuck and the head gaskets blew simultaneously.

As soon as I get home I'm going to trade mine in on one of those Dodge or Chevy trucks.

I guess the PSD is perfect and all us "with problems" are just the exception.

Please explain to me HOW THEN Ford has paid out far in excess of 500 million in warranty claims. The bleeding has been so bad, they try and find anyway they can to void the warranty, they sued IH over the engine....

Must be all those wonderful PSD out there that are driving the costs up.

Ok, you said the "honest" word. What are you going to do when it reaches 99,999 miles?
Be honest now.

I will be honest...When my warranty expires I plan to move to an F450 with a 6.4. One area I will not argue about is the cost to repair these engines. They are very difficult to work on and I honestly plan to trade somewhere shortly after my warranty expires. In the mean time I'm hopeful my truck will continue to be one of the "good ones". I have 27,000 miles with a lot of time spent towing my 15,000 lbs Raptor and have not had any engine problems except an exhaust leak.

You have had a long list of problems and I honestly feel bad for you. No one wants their truck to be a piece of junk, especially when they spend upwards of 38k. I have simply not experienced any of the problems you have. If I begin to experience all of those failures I will be big enough to eat my words and jump on the 6.0 hater band wagon.

I was waiting this quote from you yet again. Seems this is always the retort you use. You do realize that there are many factors as to why Ford and others are struggling? Every time you drop that argument, it's as if you think the F250 was solely responsible for all of Ford to be hurting as a company. Ford is not the only company that has paid out millions in warranty repairs or laid off thousands of workers and closed factories. GM never did a repair on injectors right? GM did so may repairs they resigned their injectors...then added a 200K warranty on the new designs, retrofitted. And you are saying that Dodge never had buy backs, or warranty claims to pay? Do you know how many Dodge 1500's were bought back and lemoned lawed? Thousands.

Again, these posts are fun. I am so sorry you hate ford so much, but it seems to me that they have been pretty fair to you by giving you your money back, twice right? Geeze maybe it's you and not the truck.

I would like to address all of the 6.0 PSD owners.

I would not lose any sleep over any of this. These threads a merely a form of entertainment. That was the reason I started this one. I also think the poll was a good idea. It has proved that most 6.0L PSD's don't have major issues. You can read this thread, count the good/bad posts and decide for yourself.

I also know that there a more PSD owners out there that have not responded yet, like PSDExcursion. I think his was trouble free.

So please, keep your votes coming...
