I have done the following:

6' x 8' slide-out patio deck
Under cabinet halogen lighting over countertops
10 gallon water heater
1000 watt invertor
Digital thermostat for heater/AC
Digital timer to turn propane water heater gas system on and off
Wine bottle rack in place of a small overhead cabinet
Flourescent lighting
Oxynegenics shower head
Wall switches for overhead lights that only had switches on fixture
Olympian Wave 8 catalytic heater
Outside tacky lights to bother all of my neighbors

REPLY: Steve, I your digital thermostat is a 12 v. wall mount type, where did you get it ? I cant find one. Thanks, David

It is not a 12 volt. It is a standard residential White Rogers model that uses batteries for its power source. As long as you purchase one that uses batteries and is NOT hardwired or "power-stealing", it will work in a RV application.
Many are available at Lowes or Home Depot. The one I used is one that only HVAC distributors sell.

REPLY: Steve, Didnt know they could be used in an RV 12 v. application. I guess it could like you say, so long as the Thermostats screen power and operation is coming from its own AA batteries. I sure dont like the factory magnetic type ; such a spread in differential. Thanks.

Nice job on the slide out deck. Please dont let my wife see this, I already have enough projects this winter to keep me busy, but in case she asks, what did you use for the frame and slide mechanism?

Well at least ONE of your mods was practical.

But I am so-o-o-o-o disappointed! I thought you had done all those things to your PUP!!!

not really a modification - but I do carry a shower curtain rod that I have put curtains on that I put up in between the "living area" and the bathroom area so that whoever is showering has more privacy getting in and out of the shower and I prefer using that to using the accordion door.

Replaced all of the cheap chrome plated plastic faucets with the real thing from a home improvement supply (both sinks and the shower)
Added decorative lighting above the cabinets in galley area.
Replaced both televisions and microwave. (not our idea. the other ones fried)
Added Plexiglas to the screen door so we can feel like we aren't closed in.
Added a receiver to the back of the 5er.
Ran dedicated coaxial for the Satellite receiver.
Ran auxiliary power from the transfer case to the front of the 5er so we can plug into the portable gennie in the back of the TV.
Add outside jacks for powering up the outside speakers.
Added smoke covers to the Fantastic fans.
Can't think of anything else right now.
