If you haven turned any vales or faucets hook it back up and see where it is malfunctioning.
Or use the blow out adapter used for winterizing and a compressor to find it.

Wow. More and more I am thinking noobie niece or daughter left some water running . . . or even I did when I was initially clearing air from lines when I set up. Wate could have easily trickled down the wall, into the drain, filled tank, shower and then floor. Once it was under water there would be no sound. Only "issue" is that at o500 my wife said "Honey I hear water running." We didn't hear it all night. So I still have an odd feeling as to source . . . but it could have once again been niece/daughter. Thanks for all the insight . . . I truly did not (now I do)know if there was a plumbing connection from freesh water lines to greywater. I don't have flush lines as it is an older model, but I just love my 84. I find them very cozy, and well constructed. A certain solidness that I don't see much of in much of the 90's models that use what appears to be paper as wall coverings. It just makes walls look chintzy. Nothing like my naugahyde tough, simulated wood grain vinyl paper over cheap thin something or another. Favorite interior from 80"s? well varnished marine grade plywood. Nothing like that real cabin feel for me. Well off topic now so i go nigh-nigh.

I have learned that anything can happen in an RV. On our last trip about a month ago, we were driving down the highway and both the wife and I heard a sound near rear of MH that we never heard before. It sounded like a waterline ruptured. I was thinking "Oh No". Sent wife back to see what was going on. The vanity door above the vanity sink was not latched completely. Well, an item fell out of the cabinet down onto the cold water handle opening up the water supply. Water pump was on. Basin drain was shut closed. The bowl filled up then started overflowing. It flowed in one direction on countertop to the side then cascaded down into a plastic waste basket. It filled the basket full of water. Wife got there with water 1/2 inch from top and shut off the valve. Not one drop on the floor. We were luckily driving for several miles down a very slight decline otherwise the water would have been on the floor. ANYTHING can happen in an RV!

OP,

This is exactly why we don't connect up and use shore water. Sure we might dump 100 gal in our rig with the onboard pump but you might dump 1000s in your rig. So here is the gig - we in all likely hood would hear the pump running and take corrective action. But on shore water we would hear err maybe nothing???

I'm sure you get my drift...

Great info all. You are right. Had I used my fw tank, the pump cycling on and off would have caught my attention. Here on out I will use pump and tank at night. Thanks so much!
