We are in Q and last week we got propane for $2.39 a gal and with 21 cents tax on each gallon = $2.50 Ouch. That was last week, we need propane again as it is cold (frost last night and this is Dec. not Jan.) So will post the up to date price on Saturday. For 7 gal which is a 40 lbs tank it is $18 and change. Last year about $14. So more for propane and less on vender trinkets. It all works out. Some loose out when other prices go up. One less ice cream cone and it's even. Come on down to Q the party is just starting... The new wide street is about done on the west side on I-10 Bus.

I thought a 40 lb tank worked out to be almost 10 gallons of propane. A 30 lb tank is 7 gallons.

I just got one of my 40 pounders filled here in Texas for $28. I thought that was cheap. Elsewhere around here it is $35.

squeakkos,

You can tighten up your rig and make mods to reduce heat loss, won't change price, just usage. In my MH just parking with windshield pointed south and using solar heat from that helps a lot. I also drilled and filled all the voids I could find in the roof, that helps some.
