The exterior picture on the link you sent me says Sportsman. Does Sportsman = Durango like FR Sandpiper=Sierra?

Ha! I didn't notice that. They must have posted the wrong exterior pic because the interior ones (as crappy as those pics are...geesh, who takes their pics for them?) seem to be correct. From what I gather, KZ no longer makes the Sportsman LX any more but now makes the Durango LX instead. The Sportsman LX floor plans are on their website under the 2007 model year though so that must have been the last year for them. They didn't have that floor plan we like though in 2007.

Just kind of reading the discussions here has sparked some questions from me to y'all. My family and I are going to switch from a Class A to a FW. We are down to two models, the Cedar Creek Silverback Model 36L5S and the Montana Mountaineer Model 345DBQ. We are going to live in this trailer full time for the next 18 months and are looking for the space, convience and durability of a good unit. I've laid these two units out side by side and they are very similar. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the quality, etc of either of these two units?

Thanks Bunches,

Holitok

I know there are many many happy CC owners on here and they state that the support they get on any issues is excellent.

I know Keystone has it's up and downs with the Montana Mountianeer line but they have made some more changes in 2008 and the product seems really nice.

Having not owned either but having read and seen plenty of them I would have to sit for a hour or so and look under, ontop, in and over every detail before I could pick between the two of them!

kycobalt, I see you're in Louisville (I live in Kentucky, too.) I compared Forest River to Keystone products, but I didn't compare the specific models/brands you're referring to. I compared the Forest River Wildcat 30LSBS to the Keystone Laredo 320TRL. The Keystone won out for us.

another suggestion...we bought ours at Holman Motors in Cincinnati. He gave us a fabulous price - same as the deal at RVDirect.com (including the extra $500 off for financing with them, if we go that route.) you might want to price with Holman, and with RVDirect. If we had bought our Keystone from RV Direct we'd have only had to drive to Elkhart, Indiana for pickup. Not too bad to save $$$. I couldn't find any dealer close to Louisville (even the ones in Lexington) that could compare in pricing on the Forest River or Keystone products.

Oh wait, just checked, rvdirect doesn't sell the Mountaineer or the Sierra. Whups. Sorry!

We did get a really good price on the Wildcat at Tom Raper RV just east of Indy. But we were able to get an even better deal on the Keystone Laredo at Holman Motors. Same price for a bigger, apparently better built RV.

Good luck, whatever you choose!

We decided on the CC because of the 2nd door off the kids' bathroom. Plus, we weren't thrilled about having a door from the bathroom opening to the dining table. For what it is worth, we really like our CC!
