That reminds me of why I carry several anti-fire bottles, 3 foam, 2 powder (Ok so one is the toy fire extinguisher that Damon bolted in the rig, the other is serious and in the towed, Foam units are scattered about)

The link really is a real McCoy, he is a retired firefighter, and now sells fire protection (Extinguishers) usually at FMCA rallies but I highly suggest doing business with him or someone like him. Before you have to do business with the folks he used to work with (Non-retired firefighters)

Very sad !
Looks like my toad, which makes me think about a quicker way to get it unhooked.

All a fire extinguisher would have done here is probably get you killed. No way a home size fire bottle can get a fuel and oil fire in the engine compartment out. They are best left to fires on the stove. and a burning couch. It is best to do what the boaters do and that is have a "ditch bag". In ths bag, you carry all your important papers such as passports, checkbooks, medical records, insurance papers and your address/phone book. Grab the bag and get out and let it burn. Life it to short.

Another reason not to have locks all over the toad

Why did the stupid cop block the road instead of running to the side view of the RV to make sure folks were out? Lucky that couple in the convertible didn't get tased.

If they called 911 the first thing the operator would have asked is if they were out of the vehicle.

Maybe because he sized it up as he went by and that without a hose line and turnout gear, he couldn't do anything with a fire of that magnitude. He also decided that anyone left inside was long past caring if he stopped or not and his best choice was saving those that could be saved.

If it's listed in the Yellow Pages, the government shouldn't be messing around with it.
