why would I not want to remove the factory fuel tank cap? If I used all of the fuel in the aux tank and 3/4 of the main tank why would I not want to completely fill both when I stop for fuel. I would think that it would take some time for the feed from the aux tank to fill the main tank. I wouldn't want to have to hang around the fuel station that long. If the aux tank is empty what would be wrong with removing the factory cap to fill the main tank and then replace it before filling the aux tank?

Clarification, if you have emptyed both tanks you would want to fill both tanks. I just keep the factory tank full and use out of the aux tank. If the factory tank if full and you have the aux tank valve open, you might have a spill out of the factory cap. It really is a good system when you get use to using it.

"Did put filter on fuel line run every thing through alx tank. "

edwardt48 - This fuel filter you added, does the fuel gravity flow through this filter or did you have to pump it through?
Going to add a gravity flow bed tank, would like to add a fuel filter between and was wondering if the fuel would gravity flow through it or if a pump would be required.......
What size/type fuel filter did you use?

Or anyone with a gravity flow system, how did you set it up?

I used NAPA 4770 mount and a 6 micron filter NAPA 3352 from fleet filters. Yes it flows gravity. I don't want to change factory filter so I am running every thing through ALX tank and it keeps every thing fresh.
