I have a Harley I'd like to take on some of my RV trips. Does anyone have any experience pulling a 10 12" trailer behind their Fiver. If so, do you need any special add ons like a rear camera. I have a F450 and a 36" fiver. The fiver has a hitch that can tow 2500 lbs with a 250 lb tongue weight.
Thanks for your help and Merry Christmas to all!

With a 36' fiver and an F450CC I suspect you are going to be over the 65' limit in most States. You need to check your local regs AND the States where you are going.
Where the license requirements may be reciprocal (ie other States recognize what is required in your home State) the length requirements are not.
Some States do not allow triple towing (AKA as "Doubles") at all, some (eg California) limit it to boat trailers.
Good luck getting all the answers you need - most DMVs don't know what is needed, even at home!
Edit, did a quick check, according this site NC does not even allow "triple towing", and has a 60' overall length limit. But I suggest it is worth checking out as not all of these references are 100% accurate.

There's been a couple of threads about this topic just within the last couple of weeks. You might do a Search and see what you come up with. FWIW your home state, N. Carolina doesn't allow double/triple tows. Didn't stop me though .

In 05 we caravaned with a group from So Cal to Sturgis, SD MC rally. One of the couples had a Dodge dually towing a 30' fiver and 10' enclosed trailer with their Gold Wing in it. It seemed to handle well and we were never stopped anywhere. He had no camera to see it and no trailer brakes on this 2600 lb loaded trailer. Camera and brakes would seem to be a must for safety. He did have the 6spd stick and exhaust brake. Traveling at 60 mph behind it seemed very stable. I've heard your supposed to have an endorsement(don't know which one) on your lic in Ca to be legal towing doubles and 65' max length.

You may have to consider an alternative trailer as the max length is 65 feet in most states that allow this setup. I had a custom trailer built. The length saving was made by having a very short tonque, this is ok with a bike. Good luck!

I've pulled our 30' fifth wheel with a 16' flatbed loaded with ATVs and motorcycles all over NC, which supposedly doesn't allow them, and from our home in middle Tennessee out to southwest Colorado, over all the major passes and lots of winding backroads. We had no problems at all unless we needed to back up more than a few feet. We did install a cheap rear view camera we bought on e-bay for about $150.00 for peace of mind. The important thing to get right is your tongue weight on the tag along trailer. Too little and it'll wag the back of your fiver; too much and it'll upset the whole rig. About 10 to 15 percent of total loaded 2nd trailer weight should be on the tongue. We didn't have brakes on the second trailer, which would have been nice. Interstate speeds ranged around 70 to 75 and the rig was extremely stable. There was no noticeable drop in fuel mileage due to adding the second trailer. It drafts off the fiver, so there was little additional wind resistance. We were 66' over all with our TV of a longbed crewcab Chevy 6.6 Duramax. Gotta have the toys, don't we?

Brakes would be a good idea, and is the law here in AZ over a cetain weight. I would prefer surge brakes, though my 5,000lb Jeep does not have brakes when I flat tow behind my Thor.
I would strongly recommend a rear camera, got a nice one off ebay with an LCD screen for $200. Without the camera I cannot see the Jeep behind the trailer even with extended mirrors.

Becareful about shortning the tounge. As you turn your 5er's backend will start to swing, more than moving forward, if you turn real sharp. I can go on any streets, parking lots but can not make the turn in a culdesac. Other than that no problems.
