Well I was going to load up the TC yesterday but the wind was just a howling all day long and into the night, I was able to get her loaded today just before we went to visit family before our trip.

We(Kim, Spot & I) are leaving X-mass morning to pick up my mother and head to Cincinnati to visit my oldest sister, we'll stay the night and leave my mother there (until my sister brings her home).

Than we'll head out to Chapel hill, NC to see an old high school friend and if we can we'll check in on TCJohhny about an hour away.

After a couple of days we'll leave for GA and meet up with luv2skyski and check out the waterfalls and scenery at Amicalola Falls State Park .

Than to Venice FL to see an old neighbor from MI from the 60's and we'll head north to visit LTGill_FL once more at their palatial FL estate.

From there we'll spend a night on the road as we head to OH to see CDL2 and see what kind of trouble he has been stirring up.

Than back to home, it's only 2 weeks but it'll be great to get away. The GPS says it'll be 3033 miles, we'll see how close it is when we get back.

I guess the point of this post is if you see us, wave or flag us down, I've got a cold Pepsi in the fridge I'd be willing to share. So far I haven't met a TC'er that I wasn't willing to talk to at least once.

And if there's something you think we should absolutely see or do we're open to suggestions, be it this trip or the next.

Merry Christmas everyone and a camping new year.

If your a Tarheel fan and your in Chapel Hill, you have to attend a game at the "Dean Dome" (UNC)....the "Mecca" of college basketball. Here is the next home game:

University of Nevada Reno:
Day: Thursday
Date: Dec. 27, 2007
Location: Chapel Hill, N.C.
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET

Even if your not a huge basketball fan you won't regret it. I have personally "hung on the rim" in the Dean Dome...way cool!

I first thought it was a "eat your hart out" post.

Have a good trip.

Hey Spott, we have been to Amicalola Falls, what a site the view out the windows is awesome, my brother in law and his wife live just over outside Dahlonega, not to far away. If you have time Dahlonega, is a nice old town to visit, the town square is neat with the old courthouse now a museum, great spots to eat. The fudge shop on the corner is one of our favorite shops.
Have a great trip, be safe, I'll take you up on the Pepsi, we will be heading that way sometime in the next year for a visit.

Our trip didn't end the way anyone would have liked, we were at LTGill's house visiting and we got a phone call that Kim's Mother had just Passed away. (we knew it would happen but didn't expect it so soon)

So we unplugged and headed home, we're home and doing what has to be done, but I wanted to share some photos of our trip.

Here's Kim, My mother, myself & Spot ready to leave home.

This is our spot at my sisters house in Ohio where we left my mother until my sister takes her home.

A beautiful morning on our way to NC

Our spot in NC

Our spot in GA at the Amicalola Falls State Park

and a fire in the evening

The falls in the morning fog

We stopped by luv2skyski's house but missed him by a couple of hours, maybe we'll get together next time.

Our friends in Venice Fl

But the is where we stayed for 2 nights (gone during the day), right across from the gulf (and no cost)

We went to an out of the way dock to just look around

and found a mother Manatee and her young just hangin' out

We both got a chance to pet the mother, pretty cool.
